Riverside IDPA Training Schedule, 2008

Riverside IDPA will be having practices on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month from March through the end of October, 2008. Practices start at 5 PM until 20 minutes before dusk or the ammo is gone.

All are welcome (we will spend extra time with Newbies). Members, $5; Others $10.

Bring a center fire pistol or revolver of at least 9mm caliber, 150 rounds of ammo, a strong-side holster, 2-3 extra magazines or speedloaders, concealment garment, and eye and hearing protection.

Practice is on the 25 and 50 yard outdoor ranges.

Will Riverside hold matches this year also?

Yes. We've just put a request in to the E-Board of Riverside GC for 7 dates plus 2 Classifiers. Requested match dates are from April to November 2008. As soon as these are approved (or moved!) the second week in March, I will announce the schedule on the pistol competition forum.

We coordinated with the other IDPA clubs in the area to avoid conflicts with their match dates.

Last year was a rebuilding year for the club. We have just under 10 SOs that are splitting up the work to keep the activities running. We are going to make a go of it this year to bring it back to full strength.

Chris is also considering running a full day Intro to IDPA class for Newbies on a Saturday in April or May. More news here as it develops!
