This is more a recommendation than a review. I just picked up a Filson Double Belt and it is probably the best belt I've ever seen. It is 1 1/4 wide and very thick. It is actually two belts stitched together. I have tried several holsters with it and it supports each of them very well. The only limitation is that the thickness requires belt loops with some play, especially around the front if you tuck the end back into the first loop to secure it.
