I have a Rem 11-87 unknow vintage 12ga. Field barrel, vent rib, I want to convert it for Three-Gun shoots. I got tube ext. And I found a shorter barrel at "Big C" and it was marked as 11-87, but it was used. The problem is the forend that was on
the field gun is too tight to fit over the tube ring of the new barrel, and just barely, I could make it slide over but it would crack the wooden forend. It fits in every other way. I am worried that the barrel is wrong or that a tactical forend will not fit.
Anyone familiar with this issue?
Thanks
