Im from CT and was wondering if the AK-74 was banned in Maine. Well I was wondering about all guns if any were banned in Maine or what modifications would make them illegal.

No guns are "banned" in Maine, to my knowledge. Maine is free by default like NH and VT are. Maine also allows most NFA items as well.

The only thing specifically banned in Maine is "armor-piercing ammunition" (Title 17-A, Ch. 43 § 1056).

(and machine guns which are not legally registered under the NFA, but you have federal problems in that case anyway).
