Fished Gate 43 this past Sunday. We caught two Rainbows and two Smallmouth. The Rainbows were around 15" to 17". The forcasted Thunderstorms which never arrived kept us off the main body where we were told that the Lakers and Salmon have been lately, figures. There were other guys trolling near us and I did not see any of them hook up in the 4 hours we were there. It was a tough day for catching fish. Saw two Baldies high in the pines. On the way to Quabbin I filmed 4 Hen Turkeys and about 20 babies on the side of the road. I will try to get the video uploaded soon. Both Rainbows were caught on thin shiny metal lures, one on silver, one on gold. The Smallies were caught on whole night crawlers. I trolled with flies which usually work but I got skunked. Overall it was another great day on Quabbin reguardless of the fish count and definetly better than sitting on the couch.
