Prepping / Firearms / Quality vs Quantity

Looking for opinions regarding firearms and prepping. Obviously there is a wide variety of firearms out there varying in price and quality etc... Would it be wiser to buy multiples of mid tier, less expensive firearms, w/ a good reputation for reliability OR invest the same money into more expensive quality firearms and have fewer overall?

I’d say multiple mid tier over single really high end. And spend the remaining money on ammo and training. What I’m thinking mid tier is, is pretty darn reliable these days. Even low grade stuff is pretty reliable for the most part.
