PM in email? Possible to have this feature back?

I used to get the text of my PM's in the email that notified me of the PM. This was very cool, because once my inbox quota ran out, I could delete all msgs, and still have historical back ups of my old PM's in my gmail.

Is there a reason this was removed? Is there a reason it can't come back?

I took it out because people would reply to the email instead of the PM. Literally 15-25 times a day.

You can export your PM's before you delete them.

not to kick a dead horse, but why not bring it back, and stop using [email protected] as the "reply to" email? If they reply, they get a return-to-sender email.

Because I'll get a "contact us" email saying they can't reply to the persons email. The email is there for the "notification" that you have received a PM.
