I had thought to put this under mil-surp but it is a replica not a mil-surp, so I am posting it here.
If you want a gun that is just plain fun to shoot you need to check out the Trapdoor carbines! they are in 45-70 and work well with blackpowder cartridges or smokeless. They were used by Custer's troops, although they didn't feel the same way about them that we do, and also all through the indian wars. They are accurate out to and easy 200 yards.
Here I am at the Wrentham Sportsmans Club last week shooting my Pedersoli Trapdoor Carbine, what a hoot!
