A man was shot in the leg by an off-duty Metro Police officer during a home invasion Sunday afternoon in Henderson, police said.
Henderson police received a call at 2:20 p.m. about a home invasion on Sun Pillars Avenue in a subdivision near Warm Springs Road and Stephanie Street. When police arrived, the two suspects went out a back window of the home before running from the scene, said Henderson Police spokesman Keith Paul.
One of the suspects, 38-year-old Carlos Chacon, ran into a nearby home on Warm Front Street, which is adjacent to Sun Pillars Avenue. There, he was confronted by the homeowner -- who was off-duty Metro Police officer -- and shot in the leg.
