A homeowner takes matters – and a gun – into his own hands when three men tried to break into his home near Sahara and Treeline Thursday morning.

The wife, terrified for her life, ran into the bedroom and hid in the closet.

Neighbors were also left speechless after watching the crime scene unfold just feet away from their own homes.

Officers got the call reporting the break-in around 10:30 am Thursday morning. Metro says the three suspects were probably under the impression no one was home.

But it turns out they were completely wrong.....
