Took the class yesterday @ S&W Academy in Springfield. Highly recommended for anyone who carries a firearm. Nice to have alternatives in case you're in a situation where you're not able to carry your sidearm, or gun jams, etc... The class covered:
- how to select, carry, draw, grip, open, & retain a folding knife,
- handgun retention, with a knife,
- defending against impact weapons,
- defending against single & multiple attackers.
He also discussed the legal issues of deadly force, which is beneficial to review from time to time.
I am probably forgetting to list some other stuff that he went over, but I learned a lot, & all in all, I really enjoyed this course.
