Have a brand new (still in the box) Basement Watchdog Combo sump pump unit. Model CITE-33. Bought one more than I need and lost the receipt. These units sell for over $250 if you can find them (plus no tax on this one)... you supply your own battery for the backup pump unit... they sell the batteries right at Home Depot. I use these and, as long as you clean them periodically, have never failed me.
