Neutred Shotgun question - Prchased in NH????

so my new Benelli came with a "plug" that reduced the shot capacity by 2.

i bought it in NH, and just found it odd. i looked at te manaual and it said something like "to comply with fed or state regulations, we may offer reduced capacity.....


so anyway, i removed the plug pretty easily using some needle nose plyers..

wondering if anyone else has run into this with Benelli or any other shot guns.

obviously, the works in 2 + 1 config

i'm sure 4 + 1 will work a little better

mine is a "duck" something edition.

maybe that's it... i don't hunt so i wouldn't know.

every mossberg shotgun we buy comes with a plug because of hunting regs.

i wouldn't worry about the plug unless you guys have hunting laws up there that require it.

here we only need it for waterfowl.

Yep, it's a hunting thing and most shotguns come with them.

i thought i was losing my mind when i brought my waterfowl gun out for its maiden hunting voyage...

i was ready to rip out my hair.

i tried to load it and it would not take a round. so--i unscrew the cap, pull out the plug, check in there, check the reciver, took off the barrel... WTF??

i repeated this like a tard a few times until i took the plug out once more and realizred that it was the full length of the tube
