Need help with my Remington 870

Hello,
I just bought a remington 870 express. I got home and tryed to rack slide and to my surprise it racked without pushing the slide release. When i was in the store i could have sworn that i had to push the slide release to pump it even when no round in chamber or not "primed" trigger. Can anyone help

On my 870, you need to press the slide release button if you are "dry-cycling" it. If you are firing it, just rack the slide once you take the shot.

The 870 also only needs to have the release pressed once, and the gun will continue to cycle.

Maybe you bumped the release bringing the gun home, and it was ready to go.

Try it again a few times
