NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- One would-be
robber is dead and another is on the loose after a
couple surprised the two armed thugs with lethal
force of their own midday Monday.
According to Miami-Dade Police, a male and a
female were walking along Northwest 35th Avenue
and 50th Street at around 8:40 a.m. when they were
approached by a pair of weapon-toting black males.
When the suspect demanded money from the couple,
the male victim pulled out a gun and shot at the
would-be robbers. "The male victim was able to arm
himself and fire shots at the subjects," said
Miami-Dade Police Department's Rebeca Perez. "One
of the subjects fled the scene on foot, and the
other one is deceased here on the scene."
Officials have yet to identify the deceased
suspect.
