Are triggers interchangeable between 91/30s and M44s? My 91/30 PU repro has a awful trigger while my M44 has a nice crisp and light one. I would like to switch them.

The following parts are interchangable between all mosin.

Bolts & bolt assemblies

trigger assemblies

interruptors/ejectors

magazines & magazine assemblies

front sites

butt plates

stock bands & retaining springs

trigger guard screws


Then there's parts that're interchangeable between specified models. They're listed on pages 16 & 17 of the Ordnance Corps Manual from 1954


Also, triggers are cheap & easy to find too.

If the swap don't work, your next line of help is the Huber Concepts Mosin trigger. It's pricey for 1 piece of metal but worth it. My PU replica had a horrible trigger and I replaced it with one of these. I'm still getting some drag on the striker to sear mating angle but the pull is almost as good as the real sniper's trigger.
