monitoring Hurricane Hunter aircraft

Back in the day, I used to listen to the P3 Orion hurricane hunters going into the eye of the hurricanes. I haven't payed a lot of attention to them the past 10-15 years and wonder if they still transmit in the clear on HF. I'm betting they are on SatCom now which is kind of a bummer. I loved listening to them.
