The Hurricane Watch Net is active for Harvey

Yikes. ARES/RACES are spinning up. I think I heard on the Army MARS net that they were going to be active as well. Hoping for the best down there. I lived in TX back in the 80s and we got the remnants from a hurricane all the way up in DFW and it was still impressive.

Anyone hearing anything interesting?
I've been listening to the Hurricane Watch Net and SATERN 20m frequencies and am hearing very little, and what I hear doesn't seem tactically useful. There's also a QSO party or 2 stepping all over the hurricane net frequencies.

The standard HWN frequencies are 14.325, 7.268 and 3.950.
They are live streaming the VoIP net on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlZWa-hmp0g but it's pretty quiet right now.

The Salvation Army SATERN is on 14.265 and 7.265
