modifying green followers to fit 20 round mags?

Been looking around for the rebuild kits for 20 round AR mags. They are a bit pricey. I have a boat load of new green anti tilt followers for 30 rounders but they dont fit. any pics on the proper mods to make them fit. before I destroy a few figureing ity out.

Why? The metal followers in the 20 round GI mags are the best you can get.

I have a few damaged ones...I for the life of me cant find replacement ones.

Don't know, I've never needed to replace one...
