I noticed .223/5.56 prices creeping up a little in the last few weeks and decided it was a good time to add another case to the stack.
Not because I wanted to buy the cheapest ammo available, but because I wanted to try something a little different for me and did not want the price to get out of hand.
I ended up ordering a case of 5.56x45mm M193 manufactured in Germany by MEN (Metallwerk Elisenhütte), a subsidiary of CBC/Magtech.
Manufacturer's website:
5.56 mm x 45 – MEN Defencetec
It was $0.32 a round so comparable with the pricing of the Federal M193 (Lake City).
I have read praise for it on a couple forums so I figured I would give it a try.
has anyone here shot this ammo before?
