Can you clarify the date 10th (text above), 17th (title from the start of the thread) or both?

Is this the only class accepted for Utah? I have the NRA basic safety already completed just over a year ago. Thanks

This is the only class that qualifies you for a Utah Nonresident license.

The class is filling up fast...let us know if you want to register.

This is the only class that qualifies you for a Utah Nonresident license.
Like MA, UT only recognizes courses given by instructors licensed by the state (in this case, UT). Unlike MA which offers an assortment of classes, there is only one UT course - though it is offered by a multitude of UT licensed instructors. In the old days, one became UT instructor certified by sending $5 to UT with a copy of your NRA certificate, but it has been changed to require a trip to take a one day class in UT at each renewal - which puts upwards pressure on the price since (a) instructors need to recoup the cost of getting to UT, and (b) there are fewer of them than before this obstacle was added. The $100 rate is pretty much standard for this course, although you can find places that charge more.

Is the class also suitable to obtain Mass Non-Resident LTC?
I live in NH and would like to obtain both a MA LTC and the Utah LTC, (and maybe even Maine). I currently have my NH LTC and would like the freedom to carry when traveling, especially since I live so close to the Mass border.

Thanks.

The Utah class is only good for the states of Utah and Florida. If you would like to take a Massachusetts class here is a list of our classes that are currently available:

Thursday morning at 8:30am (2/25); Saturday evening at 6pm (2/27); Monday evening at 6pm (3/1); Thursday evening at 6pm (3/4); Saturday morning at 8:30am (3/6); Tuesday evening at 6pm (3/9); Saturday morning at 8:30am (3/13); Saturday evening at 6pm (3/13); Monday evening at 6pm (3/15); Wednesday morning at 8:30am (3/17); Saturday morning at 8:30am (3/20); Saturday evening at 6pm (3/20); Tuesday evening at 6pm (3/23); Thursday evening at 6pm (3/25); Saturday morning at 8:30am (3/27); Saturday evening at 6pm (3/27); Monday evening at 6pm (3/29); Friday morning at 8:30am (4/2); Saturday morning at 8:30am (4/3); Tuesday evening at 6pm (4/6); Friday evening at 6pm (4/9); and Saturday morning at 8:30am (4/10). If none of those dates are acceptable you can choose a day after April 10th from our schedule:

- 2 classes on Monday (8:30am - 12:30pm & 6pm - 10pm)
- 2 classes on Tuesday (8:30am - 12:30pm & 6pm - 10pm)
- 1 class on Wednesday (8:30am - 12:30pm)
- 2 classes on Thursday (8:30am - 12:30pm & 6pm - 10pm)
- 2 classes on Friday (8:30am - 12:30pm & 6pm - 10pm)
- 2 classes on Saturday (8:30am - 12:30pm & 6pm - 10pm)

You can also bring a guest with you to the class at no additional cost. Here is how our "Guests attend for Free" Program works:

Any paying student is allowed to bring a guest at no charge. The guest will be allowed to participate in the class including the shooting (around 150 rounds). The guest will not receive certification for the class.
However, if in the future the individual desires certification for the class all he needs to do is pay the class fee and we will issue him NRA and Mass State Police certification for the class he completed. You must notify the office if you would like to have a guest attend the class with.

Multiple guests also can attend at no charge. To take advantage of this offer simply contact the office the day before the class in order to make sure there is enough room.

Be sure to let me know if you have any questions,
