Instead of scout sniper platoons, infantry battalions will have scout platoons.

The Marine Corps is scrapping its scout sniper program and will soon house its snipers under reconnaissance, rather than infantry, battalions.

As long as they still have snipers, it doesn't matter where they transfer them to.

It wasn't Berger. It was a group of infantrymen realizing the SS platoons have been neglecting the first S and deciding to focus the platoon.

The USMC is still retaining sniper capability.
