I can't help you with your knife question, but I can tell you your keyboard is pulling to the left.

PML Knives. I think he has a Facebook you can check out what he's working on
Good local maker. Usually has some blade all made up in stock.

Have you looked at the Enzo Trapper? It's a little short on blade length but is available in carbon and scandi. I've never handled one but the bushcrafters seem to like it. Also, the Hultafors GK is basically a thicker mora with a longer handle. I have a couple of these and they work fine.

lots of knife threads these days but I thought I'd bump this cause I was looking at ordering something myself

ESEE has a bunch of models that meet this description. I don't own any yet but they sell the blade only, knife only, or knife and sheath, which 4" model is like $50, $75, $100 respectively.

authorized dealer and good prices:

I highly recommend a mora knife. They are quality made swiss blades. You can get a carbon steel knife for $15-20 which is extremely sharp and durable. You can also get a stainless steel blade with a firesteel in the handle for $25-30. IMO there is no better knife for the price.

I have a Mora and it's great for the price. I loathe the sheath it comes with though. The blade is kind of thin too--great for fishing, not so great for bushwhacking.

Opinel makes some nice folders too in the mora price range. I have one in carbon steel that I've had for a long time and recently got a stainless version on sale, see http://www.opinel-usa.com/ The hold open is a little quirky. I mostly use mind for food prep camping.
