For my railed P229. I want to get an owb holster for when I am in NH and need to open carry as well as for if I want to carry owb with a cover garment in the winter. The material doesn't matter to me (between hybrid, leather, or kydex) but I would like some kind of retention and not to break the bank. I would prefer not having a retention system thag includes a manual thumb lashing over the hammer area or grip of the gun. Any recos? Thanks guys

I had one of the Silent Thunder holsters by Garrett Ind. to carry my 229. Not a cheapie but it does the job better than many other holsters I tried.

I have a US Grunt Gear Conceal-Tac-Bravo holster for my P226, but they make them for the P229 as well. I love it. It rides very flat at 4 o'clock. Unfortunately, my LTC is Target & Hunting, so I haven't CC'd with it for real, but I have used it in IDPA matches.
