These are the new prices from one of the largest ammo dealers in the country.

Supposedly there was a major increase in price this week and these prices don't include shipping.

If I didn't reload I would be shooting a water pistol, I just finished reloading 1000 41 mags and couldn't belive the price on those.

1000rds - 9mm Sellier & Bellot FMJ Ammo $199.95

1000rds - 45 ACP Federal American Eagle 230gr. FMJ Ammo $369.95

1000rds - 45 ACP Wolf FMJ Ammo $246.95

1000rds - 41 Mag Semi-Wadcutter Ammo $479.95

1000rds - 38 Special Sellier & Bellot Wadcutter Ammo $228.95

500rds - 44 Mag Lead Round Nose $229.95

12rds - 500 S&W Corbon 440gr. Hard Cast Ammo $29.95

20rds - 500 S&W Hornady Evolution 300gr. Ammo $48.95

IMO the money saving thing for me would be a myth.

What would not be a myth, however, is "shooting more for the same
amount of money".

I've had more than one person tell me that ends up happening
as opposed to simply saving money. [laugh]

Shoot more feel better.

I looked at shotgun shells at Dicks last night. Winchester 12ga, was $4.79 now $7.89. Winchester 28ga, was $7.99 now $13.99.

The gun grabbers can't get the gun so they up the cost of the ammo.

This is why I reload.

costs

for once the grabbers are not to blame
china is gobbling up metals and so is the war.most factories are 24/7 and hard keeping up.
I think one trouble also is to many different cartridges.they have to stop and change setup for each.[grin]

well put Uncle Fester.

I think I am going to need to take up reloading myself. Either that or start getting really friendly with my Marlin .22 lr to afford shooting.

Once China stops using the lead and we become the only user of lead, thing governments will still want to keep companies that mine lead running?

One thing I've always wondering is do gun ranges do anything to reclaim the lead that ends up at the other end of the range?
