I have a Winchester Model 97, has a manufacturer date stamped on it of 1910; 30" barrel, take down model. I'm seeking an appraiser, just to see what it's worth - figure that once I find a place, I can bring other guns there as well. A few people have expressed interest in it, though I'm not eager to sell but you never know ...
I'm in Greenfield MA, on the Rt 91 and Rt. 2 intersection. Any input would be appreciated, as I know it's nearly impossible to determine value sight unseen. I just want to determine a fair price, even if I don't sell, at least for insurance purposes. If you know a reputable place, what it might cost etc, I have 4 or so weapons I would consider having appraised.
