I've tried several but can't find one that I really like. Currently I have a Don Hume H715, which is nice but too slippery. It tends to push up out of my waist band, which could be embarrassing if the holster and weapon pop out.

What I really liked when I had a Model 60 was the Bianchi Pistol Pocket. I don't know why they never made that for the hammerless models.

If anyone has any suggestions for either a new holster or a way to rough up the Don Hume so it sticks better, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Gary

Tucker Gunleather 'coverup' model

you can get it rough side in or out.

Yes that's my SW332 in the Tucker's ad ! ! And NO, I have no stake in the company. I just have several holsters by them and they're great !

You won't do better than Mika's pocket holsters and the price ($16) is ridiculously low for what you get (each one is custom made).

I own these and like them.

He also makes IWB ($22), but I have no experience with them.

Bob Mika is retired LAPD, so he understands what CCW is all about!

I agree with the Mika. When it's not on my waist, it's in a Mika.

I thought I'd do a bit of follow up on my experience with Bob Mika. I ordered a holster for the 442, specifying thumb break and open bottom. About 10 days later the holster showed up, but it had no thumb break and had a closed bottom. It appeared the Bob had swapped holsters since the information indicated that the one I got was supposed to go to a guy in Ohio.

I emailed Bob and he got right back to me. He told me that there had been a mix up. I sort of expected him to either pay for the other guy and I to swap holsters or ask for the holster back so he could straighten out the mix up. He did neither. He told me that he would make a new holster and ship it right out, but he refused to take the other holster back. He wanted me to keep it as an extra or to give to someone else, or whatever.

Now, that's a class act.

The holsters are nice, and distinctly hand, not machine made. I just got back from a trip, so I haven't had a chance to break this one is, but I will. It looks like it will do what I want.

Anyway, I highly recommend Bob Mika.
