Is the number of members count screwed up?

As of now (12/20, 2048 hrs), the count is 2,971 members.

Threads: 27,136, Posts: 356,640, Members: 2,971

This morning, it was 2,960 members, but there were only 3 new sign-ups today.

Clicking on the "Members List" link, shows 2,947

I'm guessing one reason for the discrepancy between the numbers is that the software doesn't account for banned members and those that ask to be unsubscribed.

Only reason I ask is that I'm curious as to how close the forum is to reaching the 3,000 mark.

The listed number of members on the front page is basically everyone. Banned accounts and accounts waiting for activation.

The number that you see when you click on member list does not include the pending accounts.
