Is Colt 1980 XSC Mass compliant?

I have been researching 1911s, and thought that I might like to purchase a Colt 1980 XSC. I have been advised that it is not Mass compliant. I've heard different opinions. Does anyone know for sure? If so, please advise. Thanks

Nothing colt makes is compliant. Not a single handgun.

That doesn't mean you can't buy one on an MA FA-10 based FTF (private sale) though, or a gun shop may have one they think is exempt, etc, etc.

Thanks for a concise answer. Frankly, I was confused by what I had read, and opinions that I received. If I can't obtain one through a private sale, I'll probably get a Ruger or a Remington.
