A friend of ours inherited this Luger and he's wondering if anyone has any info on it, or info on where to research it:

OMG those grips are atrocious. BUT, the bluing is really nice. There may be something there of value there (with a replacement set of grips). You would need to produce better pics of the numbers and the stamps. I don't know much about lugers but the stamp on the top of the toggle looks interesting.
 
Looks to be DWM 1915, same year as one of the last inherited Lugers on here. Nice! Yeah those grips must go.

Did your friend inherit the PPK in the photos as well?

Yes he did, lucky guy! An old aunt up in Vermont had them left from her husband - he went first. No info as to where they originally came from.
