SPOKANE, Wash.- Spokane Police Officers are looking for an armed robber who tried to rob the Pizza Pipeline at 1724 W. Wellesley. An employee who was also carrying a gun thwarted the would-be robber.
Police say the male suspect entered the Pizza Pipeline just before 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night and pulled out what appeared to be a handgun. That suspect demanded money from the clerks. An employee who has a concealed weapons license pulled out his own handgun and told the suspect to drop his weapon.
That surprised the suspect, and he immediately ran from the store with no money. Officer immediately responded and set up a containment to find the armed robber. They were not able to locate the robber, but did find parts of a gun in the parking lot that appeared to be from a pellet gun.
The suspect is described as a young white male, about 5'9", very thin, wearing jeans, a dark colored zip up sweater, light colored gloves, and a green mask.
