State Laws to be aware of: Check State Laws at http://www.nraila.org/GunLaws/ (As long as all guns are unloaded during transport, you are generally OK. A handgun in a car is considered “concealed” and requires a concealed carry license, which are easy to obtain in NH, even for non-residents.)

What is the cap of the number of people that can attend? Any idea how many instructors?

What is the cap of the number of people that can attend?

It's a 90+foot line, for at least 30 shooters, but that's not the real issue. The real issue is that it's the first NH shoot. A LOT of people, who have never shown up on Appleseed radar before, have been waiting for a shoot here in this state.

My intuition tells me that the first shoot in NH will sell out. Who knows, I could be wrong...

Is there something wrong with the pemi.org site? I'm having trouble getting on it and I was curious as to the range details; distance, etc. Going to sign up for this one now! Also, it says the fee is $70, so why list the range fee as $20?

Range fee goes to the range. It is set by the range and so it ends up different at every site. It is seperate from the Appleseed fee.

Firewall99, thanks for setting this up! I'm looking forward to it. I'm sending out invitations. I had such a great experience at the Athol, MA Appleseed earlier this month.

Range fee goes to the range. It is set by the range and so it ends up different at every site. It is seperate from the Appleseed fee.

The "Range Fee" for the Holderness-PEMI shoot is a little unusual. It's really a membership fee, because IT INCLUDES A CLUB MEMBERSHIP.

That is why it's an event fee, not a per day fee.

I'll be at this shoot. I'll be bringing two 22lr rifles. If someone needs to borrow one (10/22 with tech sights), bring a cleaning kit and box(es) of ammo.

If someone wants to share a motel room and split the cost, PM me. I'll make the arrangements.

HOLDERNESS AFTER ACTION REPORT

Did NH secede already? We need more reports. [smile]

Sorry for the delay, but the Shoot Boss, ripersnifle, is not on this forum, nor are most of the shooters, and I've been out of town to find you guys more places in NH to shoot at (and I did!).

Here is the AAR from the Appleseed forum (which you guys should join, BTW), posted by ripersnifle:

Shooters started from a holding area and awaited the “FIRE” command.
They ran to their mats where their rifles waited empty.
They went prone, loaded, and threw some well-aimed lead.
The first try, only one target was declared “Dead” and the others were declared “Mortally Wounded.”
The second try, they threw even more lead and decimated them.

Got another (2) volunteers to become IITs.
Oh Yeah, we had one BAPTISM.
Our second IIT nailed a 210 with his SWEET VQ 10/22!
We settled for ice cold Vermont spring water from my well.

We had a visitor (with family in tow) come up from the shore.
He reads Fred’s SGN column regularly.
He asked if we had any targets, literature, or Fred’s Guides for sale.
I told him we did not have any of those things for sale.
I presented him with a package of targets, handouts, and a spare Guide I had kicking around for just such an occasion.
He was elated.
We’ll see him at an event soon.

Much thanks to the PEMI range for having us.
They were very gracious hosts.
Thanks to our NRA RSOs for donating their time.
Thanks to our staff of Instructors, IITs, and Admin.
Another one on the books.

sk

For the record, all three riflemen stepped up to be Instructors in Training (IIT's)! They are:

AndyinNH
Mark D (BrotherMark on Appleseed forum)
JollyPrez (on Appleseed forum only--reportedly shot an incredible 237!)

Congratulations, you guys. Appleseed gets better all the time.

John
