I grew up in Gardner, there used to be a lot of us Finns there at one time, now, it's kind of changed.

I'm not sure what there is now. All I know is that I'm a Polish Lithuanian English French German Irish Israeli Scottish... mutt. [laugh]

You ain't in Chair City anymore ... [sad2]

There's only 2 furniture manufacturers left, so the city really doesn't deserve that title anymore.

I grew up on Pine St. We were a stones throw away from Heywoods, Conant and Ball, Gem, Nichols and Stone, Collier Keyworth and Simplex too. Seems like a million years ago. Part of the reason i left town, it just wasn't the same anymore. Remember as kid riding my bike down to Central St and getting sawdust in my eyes from the open windows of Heywoods and Conant and Ball. And always the sounds of the equipment running.
Anway, merry Christmas
