Check the websites for whoever is funding the public housing.

I seem to remember (quite a while ago) reading that at least some public housing forbid all firearms as a condition of rental. Wouldn't surprise me at all if that was the case with all such public housing that is Federally funded (and almost all are in some way).

Portland Maine had that as a rule about ten years ago. I believe it went to SCOTUS and Portland lost.
