Gun transportation

Does anyone know if it is legal or illegal to transport a rifle from RI to a private gun range in MA for the purpose of target shoot?

Welcome to NES!

It's legal if:

1. It is a "non-large capacity" rifle or shotgun; and
2. Possession is legal in your State of residence; and
3. It is unloaded; and
4. It is enclosed in a case

MGL 140-129C said:

Thank you all for the info. I'm new to this sight but have heard good thing about it. I should have mentioned that the gun is a 22 cal. rifle, 10 round capacity. A friend from RI wants to joint a MA rod and gun club. Thanks again for the help.
