I haven't seen this before, didn't find anything in the search function. It popped up on Dvor (shameless link if anyone wants to join Join Dvor.com Now for Free! ). Got their website, not sure how I feel about it lol, could be good for storage/transportation

Any AR is a takedown, just two pins...

I'm not a fan of these expensive "folding" AR products.

Yeah, I don't quite get the point of all this folding/takedown stuff where you yank out the barrel. How hard is it to put extended takedown pins in and just pop the upper on and off the lower?

It's not as compact but the Law Tactical folder is pretty slick and has been vetted to some extent. The above design seems sketchy from the standpoint that it introduces a misalignment between the bore and (normally-mounted) optic, whereas the Law folder introduces a misalignment between the buffer tube to BCG. In the first case, your zero may not be maintained, in the second case, the reliability of the gun could be affected.

I have no personal experience with either, just pointing it out because it's the one solution I've seen people that I know vet their stuff to be on board with.

Well I know how Maura feels about it (obligatory Hi Maura! [wave]). This is ok for a carbine, not much good for anything else; it likely suffers from the same problem as the "interchangeable barrel" uppers- their return to zero is a crapshoot.

Well the folding takedowns get smaller in length than just the upper- even with the upper pins removed you can take off about 1' of length by getting the upper receiver off the barrel. The right barrel and you might be able to get an AR to fit in a shoebox, which is more than can be said for just pulling the pins, but to that end why? Might be easier to transport- I always feel awkward loading rifles into the trunk when I go hunting- I feel like the neighbors judge and I don't want the junkie kid next door knowing I have rifles.

If it was up to her we'd have nothing to protect ourselves anyways. She'd find a way to make a wet spaghetti noodle illegal if someone managed to use one to defend themselves against a career criminal.

A few months back I picked up a Tactical Life AR pistol. All I can say are good things about it. Law Tactical folding stock with Sig brace, Pantheon QD barrel release. I bought both 300aac and 556 barrels and installed a Sig Romeo 2.
It fits in the glove box and can switch between calibers in 30 seconds with a barrel change. Taking it to the range gave me 3” groups at 50 yds just playing around. A better optic (9x) would tighten things up I’m sure.

I didn’t know I needed this!

While driving home on Rt 9 from sitting in a cubicle for 8 hours posting about SHTF fantasy scenarios on gun websites, some guys fantasize that their commute home on Rt 9 through Wellsley is the same amount of danger as being in Blackwater escorting a US senator through the streets Fallujah.

Milliseconds count bro !

I had a Kel-Tec SU-16B for a few months. Pmags would stick in the mag well, so I sold it. One of those few firearms I was happy to have sold.
