Florida School Hires 2 Former Combat Veterans to Take Down Active Shooters

Why the hell would they be carrying Kel-Tecs? Is the regular AR so scary now that they were forbidden, or is this some cheap or unknowing person in charge buying the equipment?

One thing they’ll need to be aware of, is that hopefully, these guys are only there specifically for an active shooter, nothing else, and they (the school board) don't get greedy and say that since they’re just standing around all day they also now need to handle all security issues at the school, IE dealing with teenagers or simple school fights and rowdy kids while slinging a rifle across their chest.

They'll be signing kids into the bathroom before the week is out, and if they don't want to do that, they'll be unhired.

Schools do all kinds of cool stuff and do massive press releases and have big photo ops with the school committee, but when the level-funding budget comes in the following year all that glitzy progress just quietly slinks away. I've seen it happen too many times to be all that interested anymore.

The author *really* wanted to say discouraging things about armed security in schools but the best they could do is cite a slight injury from a ND and some instances of students grabbing holstered guns with discharges not injuring anyone. As though the risks were greater than killers murdering dozens. And the crazy arguement about school shootings being statistically rare while at the same time so many arguing school shootings justify all sorts of firearms restrictions and prohibitions.

Gun-hate is part of Trump-hate for many liberal left progressives.

Failing nyt.

Armed guards are not nesserary cause school shootings are statistically rare,

But due to school shootings we must pass laws to ban guns .

Ok. Logical.
