Figured I would try here and see if anyone is an animal lover or has parrot experience .
I Have an 8 month old Turquoise Green Cheek Conure . His name is Rex. I’ve had him since he was 12 weeks old . He is a DNA sexed Male . He is completely healthy and has never had any issues . I paid $1000 for him and his entire setup was another $750+ . I purchased him from Bird and Reptile Connection in Walpole MA . They sent out his DNA to check if it was a male or female and it came back a male .
These birds live 25-30 years so they are a big commitment . My reason for possibly rehoming him is my wife and I just had our first baby so he isn’t getting the attention or time out of his cage he deserves . Ideally he should be out of his cage 1-2 hours a day and is fine . I have a bunch of different food for him and cut him up veggies every day or two . Along with food and treats , he has toys , bowls , perches , a 24x24x30 cage . I would really like him to go to a good home that will be able to keep him for a long time . I am looking to rehome him for a reasonable fee but I would also be willing to trade him for some ammo or a firearm or something . This is as long as the home he’d be going to planned of keeping him forever . Exotic Bird experience is definitely preferred . These birds are exceptionally smart and bond to people . If anyone has any interest at all feel free to send me a message !
Thanks !
