I was watching CH 25 this morning and they were talking about the nutbag who shot the dog with a hunting bow and arrow and that he was charged with using a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling and charged with firearms violations

Did I miss something about this, I didn't think a bow was a firearm

Should be an easy charge to beat.

Don't count on it, the news reporters don't know squat but the laws are clear "hunting is prohibited within 500 feet of any dwelling or building in use, unless authorized by the owner or occupant thereof." He shot a dog in the dark because he thought it was a coyote.....bullship."

He will lose his hunting license likely for many years if not for good.
