A Czech firearms maker announced plans today to build a factory at the Little Rock Port that is expected to employ 565 people in six years.

The company's website says the Czech parent dates to 1938. It has shipped guns to the U.S. since 1991 through a variety of distributors. In 1997, it began its own distribution from a warehouse in California that moved to Kansas City, Kan., in 1998.
