C&Rs, Milsurps, and FA-10s?

Alright, I just picked up an M44 Mosin Nagant, and I had a couple of questions on how you guys deal with the FA-10s for these.

1) What do you put in the manufacturer's name? Leave it blank?

2) How do you deal with the cyrillic characters in the serial number? Since the form has a very specific guide on how to form your letters.

Why not put in Mosin Nagant?

All my MN's have real serial numbers, don't know what number you're looking at.

BATFE requires all imports to have S/Ns with US character sets. Many imports are "re-numbered" per BATFE rules and thus this is the number used on 4473s and FA-10s.

What I've done with many of my foreign rifles is put the country of origin as the manufacturer. Like for my Arisakas-Japan, Hakim-Egypt, Type 53 Mosin-China.
For serial numbers, as Len says or if it has foreign characters I'll translate them.

This is Cyrillic equivalent of "G".

Cool. I just put on the new serial number that the importer used, but its nice to know.

Love the M44s. Own two, and both appear to be unfired.
