I have these bullets that I was wondering if anyone could identify.
The first is a cast bullet that is a DEWC and it has two lube rings. I have yet
to find a bullet made these days that has two lube rings. These are American
Bullets (Atlanta, Ga) and are 148gn, .357 caliber. When I was reloading these
I was using them in .357 Mag ammo. Does anyone know of a manufacturer
that makes bullets like this as I don't think American is still in business? All
the ones I have seen have a single lube ring.
The second is a spitzer that I bought from a guy who purchased these from
FS. I called FS and they told me that they sell so many different kinds that
they could not possibly tell me the origin. What makes this bullet unusual is
the serrations around the bullet (I forget what they call them). On the SP
bullets I have seen from most of the main manufacturers theirs doesn't
have this feature. This is a .30 caliber .308" SP, 150gn.
