Dynamic Incident Response has been approved by the Massachusetts State Police for a basic firearms class. The title of the class is the "Basic Firearm Personal Protection Course LTC - 025." This class consists the "commonality of training" method pertaining to the pistol, rifle and shotgun. The student will learn and become familiar with the three type of firearms (pistol, rifle and shotgun) that they can purchase on their LTC or just the two (rifle and shotgun) with the FID. In this class we will discuss firearm safety, Massachusetts state laws and Federal laws, types of holsters, flashlights and much more. Students will be taught how to draw from the holster in the classroom setting then taught the different types of malfunctions (with dummy rounds) and how to safely and quickly fix the problem. While on the range they will experience this with live rounds. At the end of this course of fire the student will have a working knowledge of the firearm. This is a live fire course and is an eight hour class.
