Auto Log off?

Is there a user changeable setting to prevent auto log off? It seems that the board automatically boots me off after a period of time which requires me to log back on. It could be me, but other forums that I visit that use the same software don't do that.

I've never had that problem. I get to work, pull up the site, and leave it up. I might not get back to here for hours. And it's still up.

It's possible that it's something on my computer as it doesn't happen on my laptop. In fact, if I shut down the laptop and then restart later, it doesn't happen. I'm just casting about for a solution.

I've playing with the option on Firefox and it might be cookie related, but I'm not sure. I'll probalby stumple across the answer sooner or later.

Click logout on top, then check the "Remember Me" box by the log in. That may fix your problem.

I'll give it a try. I'll also fool around with the cookies settings on Firefox to see if there's something there doing it.

I'll wager remember me does it. My server drops the connection every so often, and if the block isn't checked, I get logged out every time.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Now on to another question. I see that HTML can be inserted, but I was trying to insert strike out text and couldn't get it to work. Is that enabled on the forums?

HTML in a forum is pretty dangerous. You can hijack a forum with HTML code. I have it turned off.
