Question - being in MA, can I build my own AR type rifle with this receiver?

Pws uses a long stroke piston setup much like the ak.
You would have to remove the gas key from there bolt carrier and swap it to the bolt that's made to work with your stock.

You would would be better off just buying a short stroke conversion kit that comes with a replacement gas key.

Well, I do want a long stroke setup...I guess I am kinda out of luck here...

It's ironic that this can still be sold in NY but (probably) no longer in MA.
