AR-Pistol reg?

How does one go about registering an AR lower as a pistol receiver? Links would be helpful and any info appreciated. Thanks

I guess you could just submit an FA-10 and register it with the specified barrel length. Then just kick back and see if the gestapo busts through your window at night (I doubt it...)

BATFE form 1. Get leo sign off/finger prints (unless you have a trust). Send in with check for $200 and wait 3-6 months.

Also on the pistol, it has to have been registered by the manufacturer and(or?) 4473 as a pistol.

As covered in http://www.northeastshooters.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=40475... Lowers do not have to be "registered" as pistols by anyone. Lowers which have never had a stock on them are only Title I receivers, and not a pistol or rifle, and could legally be assembled into either, where legal by state law.
