After a cursory reading of MA law and a few forum posts here I understand it's quite difficult to build an AR-15 pistol in MA. In this post I'd like to address the "magazine outside the pistol grip" restriction.
My company manufactures the Hammerhead AR-15 rifle grip primarily for use on rifles as an alternative for states which restrict the pistol grip. A year ago it was declared "Not a Pistol Grip" by the State of California. I know CA laws are not binding on MA but I'm wondering if this could potentially help out with the AR-15 pistol problem in MA? This is a philosophical question that may be beyond my pay grade but... Can you have a magazine outside the pistol grip if there's no pistol grip?
