Adding Another Person to a "Conversation"

It's rare, but today I wanted to respond to a person's "conversation" with me plus add another NES'r to the response. I could find no way to do this. Is it possible to enable this feature?

You can do it easily - right side of the conversation.

No, this is what I see:

No additional options (that's all that is in that box). Now understand that this is in the midst of a conversation that had 2 prior replies. So maybe you an invite more on an initial conversation but not mid-stream??

Were you the starter of the conversation? It's a setting configurable by the starter of the conversation as to whether or not other people can bring in new members. When you bring someone in mid-thread, they can review all of the history of the conversation, so it's not kept wide-open by default.

Ah ha! No, he sent me a message looking for a course. That explains it. Since I referred him to an NRA TC who advertises on NES, I wanted to include that person in the conversation.

I can understand that rule. No problem.
