Is this type of powder good for reloading 5.56x45 ammo ( .223) ?

Wideners has it in 8lb jugs :

A2230-8 Accurate Powder 2230 8lb $118.00

Is that a good price ? ( I'd have to add in the hazmat charge, so maybe ordering several 8 lb jugs is the best way to go)...

If you do, there are others who might want to get in on it who don't live in a free
state. Jus' sayin'... I paid $21/Lb for 2230 at Four Season in Mass. a few weeks
ago. Painful! I don't know what it sells for at Riley's but they rarely have 8 lb jugs
in anything I want.

2230 is the powder for .223/5.56. I use the 2230-C as well. Powder Valley also has it at 118 a jug. Might save some on the shipping through them.

Thanks for the advice..

I contacted Wideners....6 of the 8 lb jugs in 1 box, to split Hazmat charges.

A few NES'rs already contacted me, so at this point I have 1 slot left - we'll split the ship costs and the $20 hazmat fee. I already told the others I would pay for it, but Wideners charges when order is placed, but they are backlogged a few weeks in shipping.....but because of the immediate charge, I'll need the payment asap, not when picked up ( in Southern NH, just west of Nashua).
