Thank you for writing to me with your concerns about potentially strengthening our gun control laws in the aftermath of the tragedy in Newtown , Connecticut . I appreciate your thoughts on gun control and I will keep them in mind moving forward. I anticipate that legislation will be introduced in the session which began on January 1 to strengthen our gun laws, but you can be assured that public hearings will be held and I will certainly look at both sides of the issue before any action is taken.
